PipeCal Installation
- Log onto your PC with Administrator rights. If PipeCal is not installed by a user with Administrator rights, then error messages will be posted during installation, and an Administrator will have to uninstall the program in the future.
- If you have previously installed PipeCal, uninstall it (see below for instructions).
- Download the PipeCal archive using a Web browser and opening the following location and saving the file to disk:
www.essen-instruments.com/products/PipeCal_v1pt2.zip
- Open the archive and extract the password-encoded PipeCal archive (.zip file) into the c:\temp folder. We recommend the use of the WinZip program for this purpose (www.winzip.com). The archive is password encoded, so use the following password to access the archive: pipeline
- This will create a "PipeCal" folder inside the c:\temp folder. Open the c:\temp\PipeCal folder and run the installer program called " setup.exe ". You will find an installer icon with the name " SETUP ", and you can double-click this icon to install.
- Follow the installer instructions. After installing, you will find a shortcut to PipeCal on the desktop and a link to the program through the Windows "Start" menu at the bottom left of the desktop.
PipeCal Uninstallation
- To uninstall, use the Window "Add/Remove Programs" tool, found through accessing the Windows Control Panel. If you are uncertain about how to use this tool, search your on-line Windows help file using the search string "Add/Remove Programs".
