IncuCyte™
Description
IncuCyte™ is a compact, automated imaging platform designed to provide kinetic, non-invasive live cell imaging. The automated microscope is only 8" high and fits on a single shelf inside your laboratory incubator.
What does IncuCyte™ Do?
IncuCyte™ acquires phase contrast images of live cells in microplates, flasks or cell-culture dishes in most laboratory incubators. This is accomplished by a packaged automated microscope which takes auto-focused images at user-defined times and locations within the the sample drawer. IncuCyte™ has the capacity to sample multiple labware consumables (e.g. up to twelve T-25 flasks), and can mix and match between flasks, cell-culture dishes and microplates using the three separate tray positions. Once the digital images are collected, custom image processing software calculates image metrics, such as monolayer confluence, providing a quantitative and consistent measure of cellular proliferation.
Kinetic Proliferation Curves
Shown above are representative images from the IncuCyte™ platform. The phase-contrast images are of the same field of CHO cells gathered 12 hours apart. Images can be collected around-the-clock without removing the cells from the incubator. Images for proliferation curves are typically acquired every 3-4 hours. Algorithms then condense the image data to quantified metrics providing kinetic proliferation curves. Images can be exported as individual JPEG files or as a movie file.
